Masculine first name (Meng), German family background, born in Ohio 1899. Comments please.

I don't think, there is a German given name MENG. You'll find MENKE (ask Menke on this board!) - or the surname MENG(E). This is either from Latin MAGNUS or sometimes from Hessian "Menge" = small trades man.Andy ;—)
