Hi
Lily
,
Afton is the name of a river and a place name in southern Scotland, but I don't know what it means. The only meaning I could find was that it _probably_ means "river" (no language given...).
Regards,
Satu

The meaning "river" or "river town" would make sense, since "
Afon
" is river in Welsh?

No, it's not
I don't know what Afton means, but it's almost certainly not a form of
Ashton
. That much I do know.

Afton is the Swedish word for "evening".

Oh. I guess that info makes Afton more great, I would believe.
