According to this website, Caden means "battle" and Cade means "round." Is it possible that an alternate definition for Cade could be "battle," from Irish Gaelic instead of Old English? Or would that be etymologically incorrect?

It wouldn't be correct to say that Cade means "battle" in itself as it's unrelated to Caden.

However, if you gave a child the name Cade with the idea that it was a nickname for Caden (like Jake instead of Jacob or Abby instead of Abigail) then it would have the same meaning.
