[Opinions] Lux
Met a woman with a little girl named Lux the other day. I recall hearing the name in a few movies before but never gave it much thought. I think it's fairly cute. Opinions?

Sorry but I think of the soap!

It reminds me of the movie "Virgin Suicides"as Kirsten Dunst's character was named Lux. However, in real life I've only met one Lux and her real name was Luxembourg (I think thats how its spelled). I used to be quite fond of it, but I've kind of grown out of it (its one of those names you may kind of like, but would never use), but I do see the appeal.

Ditto!
I really like the sound of it, it's a pretty name, but I always think it sounds like a nickname, although I can't think of any longer names it could be short for.

It's a soap brand in Australia - sorry!

I like it. It's simple and cute. But it reminds of The Virgin Suicides, which I guess isn't the worst association just a sad one.

For some reason I think of acid reflux. lol. I couldn't use it.

I have mixed feelings on itOn one hand, its quite cute and spunky. On the other, its very short, and can be thought of as kreativ. Also, its probably going to jump in popularity. I might use it as a middle name, but that's it.Siri

I never even thought about the name before, but after seeing The Virgin Suicides I seem to like the name now. I don't think that I would ever use it on one of my children, but I do moderately like it.

I think it's very pretty--has a wonderful meaning. I probably wouldn't use it, though. If I did, I'd use it as a middle name.I also really like Luz, which I think also makes a beautiful middle name. (I know an Erica Luz, which I think is lovely--even though I don't like Erica.)Array

I think it's cute, but I'm not sure I would ever use it.

I don't care for it. I don't think it's pretty or feminine. "Lots of Lux to you..."

Sorry but all I can see is Lux Soap and it seems sort of nicknamey probably because I tend to prefer long names
