[Opinions] Victorilyn and Victorielle
I found these names within a few lines of each other in the birth announcements, and was pretty taken aback. I'm not wild about Victoria -- it's on my list of "Very Very British Names That Are Okay But Not Favorites" (which also includes Oliver, Percy, and Gwendolyn) -- but it's okay. Victorilyn and Victorielle are pretty bad, though. Victoria is quite feminine itself, in my opinion. It certainly doesn't need a "feminine ending"!~ Cait

I love Victoria. Victorilyn is hideous. Victorielle is ok.
What about Victoire, Victorienne, Victoriana?

I find the name Victoria a bit heavy-sounding, but it's quite nice. I definitely don't think it needs elaborating, though.

I don't like them.

Why didn't these parents just use Victoria Lynn and Victoria Elle insteas of meshing the names together. IMO they ruined a perfectly lovely name.

Ack, the Somethinglyn trend strikes again!Victorilyn just looks silly to me - is there a book parents read, called "How To Tryndeefy A Classic Name" ?!Victorielle is alright, if nms.

I really love Victoria, although I don't know if I would use it. I think those two names sound very made up and I hate that. Out of the two, I like Victorielle better. *don't worry, I won't be adding this to my list*

I think Victoria is lovely, but Victorilyn and Victorielle are really bad. It's like someone was trying to feminize Victor by adding lynn and ielle. Victoria would've been a better alternative. Or Victoria Lynn.

Sounds too made up in my opinion.

Ugh... horrible! They completely destroy the classic elegance of "Victoria". Instead of making it sound more girly, those names actually emphasize the fact that it's the feminine form of Victor. :P

Hmm, not bad. I wouldn't use them but they're not horrible. I had Victorine on my list for a while.
