[Opinions] Re: Birth Announcements - What do you think?

GIRLS:
Gretchen: nms, but it's a classic name that seems to be coming back in style
Julie: Nice, but I prefer it as a nickname
Britney: This is pretty awful. Imagine naming your daughter after such a disgrace. This name will always be associated with her from now on. I don't like the spelling either; it lowers the IQ of the name significantly. It should be "Brittany".
Carolyn: Very pretty.
Shanae: nms, don't like the name or the spelling.
Elizabeth: A tasteful classic.
Janis: nms
Julia: Beautiful.
Lona: Sounds like "loner" with a Boston accent.
Leslie: nms
Lisa: Very pretty, but should be short for something, like Elisabeth.
Courtney: Can't stand this name... too trendy and harsh; to me it sounds like the name of a spoiled child.
BOYS:
Kenny: Just think of South Park now when I hear this, unfortunately
Trace: nms
Mel: Mel Brooks?
Dirk: Sounds a little too much like dirt for my liking.
Travis: Too trendy
Charles: nms, but a classic
Casey: It's been taken over by the girls; sounds too feminine now.
Toby: Sounds like tubby, not especially masculine
Phil: Short for Phillip, it's a classic... but I personally wouldn't use it.
Sawyer: Too trendy, cutesy-sounding... works on a boy, not on a man
Richard: A good name with an unfortunate nickname.
Paul: Classic.
Isadore: Can't stand this.
Fred: Seems too stuffy for a boy these days, in my opinion.
Keith: I like this, it's very Scottish.
Alan: nms
Brad: I like it, if it's short for Bradford.
Mark: Classic.
Jeffrey: Very nice name.
Kenneth: Much prefer this to Kenny.
Howard: nms
John: I like this name, although to many people it's too boring for a first name.
