[Opinions] Elektra ...
WDYT of Elektra or Electra for a girl? I know the movie Elektra is coming out and the more I thought about the name the more I liked it. I would never use it personally though.

I love this name, but no one's mentioned the unfortunate connotations of the original Greek character...who forever ruined it, in my opinion.

It's unique but I would never use it. That name always reminds me of Electricity.

Yuck.

When I think of "Elektra"...I see an electricity company. Seriously!

I imagine an Electra to be elegant, beautiful, mysterious. Not my usual style in names, and I would not use it, but I like it!

It is kind of cute, but I associate it with Carmen Electra,
and I think a lot of other people would too. So I agree
with you. It's neat, but I would never use it.

I don't care for it. I think of an electrical shock, plus the movie will forever stereotype the name to actress Jennifer Garner (if those things bother you).

LOVE Elektra ...esp. the 'K' spelling. I believe that Susan Sarandon has a daughter named Elektra, or maybe it's Isabella Rosellini? It's gorgeous, I love it!

Isabella Rossellini has a daughter named Elettra.Isabella's full name is Isabella Fiorella Elettra Giovanna Rossellini.I believe it was also her grandmother's name.

Thank you, I was close but not exact. Elettra is very beautiful as well.

Well, Elettra is the Italian version of Electra. So you were very close!

I like Electra. I see it as from and maybe a bit dangerous, a nice character name. Don't like the k spelling at all.~ arcadia
