[Facts] Gabrien
Does anyone know ANYTHING on the name Gabrien? I made it up and named my son this, but I can't find anything on it. Thanks!

You made it up first and wondered about the meaning after that - right? Well, you are luckier than you deserve - it seems you avoided anything obscene, blasphemous, amusing or commercial. From the look of it, you were probably merging Gabriel and O'Brien. Only you will know why.

yes u're right. i was thinking of gabriel because i like the nickname gabe, but don't like the name gabriel in case it was mistaken for gabrielle. i was also thinking i liked the names "aiden" and I thought "rien" was a modern type ending. i figured even though i'd never heard it before that it must be a name, it's not too weird or anything. i did find something that said it means "strong as a lion" but i also just found that it means "Strength of God" in Modern English...a bit of a difference, but maybe not. i'm still glad i chose this name though.
thanks for the help

I made it up If you made it up, why on earth would you expect it to have any other origin or any meaning? If you're desperate for a meaning, you could probably call it a modern variation of Gabriel, and use Gabriel's meaning (click on hyperlink for details). But it's still just made up.

I find it hard to think of anything else than GABRIEL. google brought up a place called St.Gabrien in Austria, a 17th/18th cent. pastor called Johann Gabrien Trögel (East Germany), and a few modern individuals by that name, some of them were Mexicans, but this may just be coincidence.
GABRIEN looks French to me, but maybe Spanish.
Any other ideas?Andy ;—)
