I don't care for Arvean. It looks made up, and it isn't feminine. I do like Jean, but I don't think it flows, since it has some of the same pronunciation components.

How do you pronounce Arvean? I would automatically pronounce it AR-veen, in which case I think it clashes with Jean (which I pronounce JEEN). I also don't like the sound of it...it sounds both harsh and squealy. What is the background of Arvean? Where does it come from?~ Cait

ok... actually i still dont know what is the origin of ARVEAN. It was just the outcome of combining on the name of the father and mother of the baby. I am also searching on the meaning of ARVEAN and if it do have a country of origin. If you can find it for me... that would be very much appreciated.

Well....since you did get it from combining your parents' names, its just a made up name, with no meaning really, unless by chance ithappens to b a name from another culture.

Arvean......may be the Danish word for "Gene". Can anybody confirm this?

I'd have to doubt it...I can't get a Danish translation, but the German translation gives me "gen", as well as other Europena languages (Romance Languages to be specific) give me something like "gen, Ge`ne, genne" etc.

Well, that's almost gene. ^ ^When I searched for "Arvean" on google, a lot of Danish sites came up (Of course, I didn't recognise the language and had to find out what DK meant). I found a Danish translator, and it came out "Gene".

Correct Danish translationDanish has several words for gene. The most common is gen, but the one you probably found was arveanlæg. As you can see, "arvean" is not the whole word, just the first part.~ Cait (who hasn't spoken Danish in several years and is only 98%ish sure of this information. Charlie, can you back me up?)
