[Opinions] Mercy?
What do you think of the name Mercy?

I actually like it. Some of the virtue names are too out there for me (Verity, Amity, even Patience), but this is one is nice without being too common imo.
I actually know two women named Mercy. One is Filipino and has a daughter named Faith. :) The other is from Nigeria, her mn is Fatima, and is a good friend of mine, very sweet and extremely smart so I have good assocations with the name, too.
Edited to add: My good friend Mercy, since she's been in the U.S., has had a hard time with people thinking her name is Marcy. lol
And also she's a nurse so people constantly think it's cute to call her Nursie Mercy. Luckily she has a sense of humor. :b

I don't like it.
I have posted about this name before. Here's what people thought then...

Not for me at all.
I love it! It's been on my own list for a while now.
I don't care for it. I like the virtue name Patience.
I actually like it a lot, but I couldn't use it because it's very close to my own name, Merry.
I think it's okay. Wouldn't use it though. It reminds me of Fry from Futurama, for some reason.
