[Opinions] Difficult to pronounce?
What names do you think would be really hard for a child to say? some that I personally think might be difficult especially for a younger child when they are trying to learn their name:
Adrastos
Adrasteia
Agamemnon
Ceridwen (ke-RID-wen)
Clytemnestra (klie-tem-NES-tra)
Aurora
Adelaide
Abigail (maybe?)
Antoinette
Ezekiel
Ayanna / Aiyana / Iyanna / Iyana / Aiyanna, etc.
Maximilian
Roderick
Yahaira
Sahara
Serena (I met a little girl with this name, and she sometimes had a hard time saying "Serena")

Lauren...I never had trouble saying my name, but lots of other kids at school did. I was always Lohw-un, or LOR-un.

It depends on the background imo. A French kid won't have problems with Antoinette, but will with Clytemnestra, especially pron. with an English accent!I would say:Adrasteia
Agamemnon
Clytemnestra (klie-tem-NES-tra)
Yahaira if it is yah-hah-ee-rah

I used to have trouble saying my name, so I was usually "Annie" until I was about three.I agree with most of the names on your list insofar as they'd be difficult for a young child to say- especially Roderick and Aurora.Shannon

Well, I've never taken that into consideration, because speech impediments can be overcome, and I think people can pronounce their own names without a problem, since it is their own name...it's hard to explain, but I think it's sort of a given to pronounce, if it's our own name. Plus, you're an adult longer than a child. For myself, I do find Aurora very awkward to say.
