It used to be one of my favorites. I don't love it as much, but I still think it's beautiful.

Beautiful name. Perhaps slightly pretentious but not anymore so than Victoria or Claudia.

I really like it.That happens to me, too, by the way. I may despise a name for odd reasons, but if I meet someone I like with the name, it grows on me considerably. Some of those names end up being favorites.Anyways, back to Bianca, it's one of my favorites, though I would probably never use it myself (something seems odd about using somewhat obviously Italian name when I don't believe I have a drop of Italian blood in me). Well, actually, I wouldn't use it for a first name, but it's the middle name in one of my favorite combos (Rose Bianca).Though, the name does have a vaguely "trashy" (I hate using that word, but I can't think of anything else at the moment to convey the same image) air about it. But I think that can be overcome. And I still love it.

I like it also for his meaning in italian (white).. The pronunciation'd be bee-AHN-kah by the way

I love it, especially in the combo Cecily Bianca. I prn. it bee-AWN-kah; whether that's right or not is an entirely different question♥Hannah♥♥Hannah♥♥Hannah♥

If it's pronounced Bee-AN0ka, then it's ok. If it's be-ON-ka, then I don't care for it.

that should read be-AN-ka, not be-AN0kaj

its bee-an-kah.

I don't care for it, as I don't like its sound.I think in your case, you're using associations with the name, and perhaps, not fully liking the name itself, but rather, the person whose name it is.

I hope this isn't off topic, but I really like your picture in your profile. You're a pretty dancer!

I like the picture too :-) But it's not me. It's Svetlana Zahkarova in a picture for American Ballet Theatre. I chose it because she looks a lot like me though. I don't have any pictures of myself on the computer so I decided to choose one that would reflect my life.I was browsing the website for a good picture to use and I saw hers under Guest Artists and was like, "Wow, she looks like me!" I have blue eyes and a more oval shaped face though. I'm sorry that I didn't mention that in my profile. I didn't think about it, but I guess I should have! :-)

Awesome :-) My ballet group used to have a working website where there were pics of us, but for some reason the person who operated it quit so it isn't up and running...it's been that way for about a year. Oh well! There are lots of great pics at abt.org and nycb.org. I really like pnb.com although their gallery isn't up right now. It's not as extensive as the others, but I really like it because I live near Seattle and have done some things with PNB before so I know some of the dancers.EDIT: It's pnb.org, sorry! pnb.com will take you to Pacific National Bank, lol.

It's alright, I don't think I'd ever use it though. This name reminds me too much of the color white because white in Italian is bianco, and the name Bianca is Italian.
