To me it looks misspellt, sorry. Like Isobel, for example.

Isobel isnt misspelt! It was my grandmothers name!! Its scottish

I don't think she's saying that

I don't think Miss Claire is saying Isobel is misspelt. She's saying to her it looks misspelt. It's like Lilian versus Lillian. Neither is misspelt but one looks more correct to some people.
