my grandfather's name was Gally. I caanot find any info as to the

Is your family German, and if so was it spelled originally Mueller.

If so if you look on Rootsweb under the family trees portion, there are quite a few of that family listed as GALLUS.

So as Barb in the other message states look under GALLUS.

Could it have been a nickname for Gall or Gallus? (Both in the database)
