I love it if you pronounce it ja-KO-ba, not so much if it's JACK-o-ba or JAKE-o-ba. It's a wonderful name, especially since it's a family one.~ Caitlín

I don't love the sound of it, but it could grow on me. Especially since it's a family name and underused.

I have a cousin call Yaakova (Hebrew form of Jacoba). It's nice imo, especially as a family name!

I don't care for it, because the male Jacob element is too strongly within it. Since it's a family name, I'd suggest using it as the middle name. And, I don't think any name is "outdated."

how are you pronouncing it? I am saying Juh-CO-buh (Co as in Cold) I kind of like it that way. JAY-cuh-buh is too Jacob like to me. I don't think its too outdated I think it's refreshing to bring back older names especially if it is family.
