[Opinions] Mika/Brie/Farrah
Does anyone know of any names that Mika (mee-ka) and Brie could be nicknames for? The only ones I can think of are Micaela(nn.Mika)and Brianne(nn.Brie). Are they ok as a given name? If so any middle name ideas? What about for Farrah (fair-ah)?

Farrah's a lovely name. Farah is one of my favourite names.

Not sure about other names Mika could be a nn for. I don't care for it, though. It looks like it would be prn. like Micah, which is only for boys (imo), and I don't like the sound of MEE-kah (it also makes me think of Pikachu from Pokemon, lol). What about Mila (MEE-lah)? I don't care for Brie--esp this spelling because it is CHEESE!--or Bree, Brea, etc. as a nn or a fn. And I don't care for any Bri- names, but some that come to mind are Brianna, Brielle... What about Brenna, Brynn or Bryony (BRYE-oh-nee)? P.S. Farrah is better than Mika or Brie, imo, but I don't like it either. Sorry! :b

I love the name Brie just by itself! I'm not really the nn type though. I know a girl named Mika, except she pronounces it like Micah. I think it's a very pretty, uncommon name. I kind of like Mika Chantelle and Brie Elisabeth. I'm not really sure what I think of Farrah...

Mika makes a great nick for Dominika, imo. Also: Marika and Melika.Brie: Sabrina, Brigitte, Cambria, Fabrizia, GabrielleI think they're each fine as given names, though if I had one of them as my own name, I'd rather it be short for something else. Especially Brie because Brie is a cheese. Dominika and Sabrina are my fave long versions. It wouldn't be difficult to come up with middle names for Mika, I don't think - patterns would be like Mika Justine (consonant start, no A ending). Brie is tougher. How about Brie Margaret? Brie Farrah works too.Farrah reminds me consistently of Farrah Fawcett Majors. I know that does date me, but whatever - I can't see or hear the name without picturing her feathered hair.

i'm not that old and Farrah reminds of Farrah Fawcett too...she's quite an icon.i like the name Brielle for a long version...a friend of mine told me her maiden name is Brill and if she ever has a girl she wants to name it Brielle.
