Help[Opinions] pronounce Aileas?
hi i like the names Elise and Alice and am thinking of naming of my daughter one or the other. I stumbled across the Scottish version of Alice, Aileas and i really like it but i was wondering how exactly do u pronounce it?? What letters do u put the emphasize on.

who pronounced it EH-lis or something similiar but then her parents were North American so it might not be 100% correct ...

I've wondered about that myself. I automatically want to say it like the word "alias". But according to namenerds.com (not sure how accurate it is, though) the pronunciation of Aileas is AH-lus or EH-lus. I don't know if I like it, then. :b

AH-luss is right - in practice, it sounds just like Alice :-)
