I met a woman the other day named Cardinal. She had to be somewhere in her fifties. What do you think of Cardinal as a name?

I think, aside from the church usage of the word, it would be a great nature-name after the bird.. I assume it was intended that way. But I guess it must be annoying for her to have her signature look like a religious title.

Terrible. Reminds me of Richelieu, priests... not of a name, especially a female one!

I didn't even think of the bird species until after I began typing. It just makes me think of the officials of the Catholic Church called cardinals.
