I saw this name in a movie (it was one of the producers or something) and I though it was pronounced Pad-Ray-Ick, but he pronounced it Patrick. WDYT of that spelling and the name? I think the spelling is neat because it's different but I don't like the name Patrick. I acutally kind of like it pronounced Pad-Ray-Ick.

Padraic is the ancient form of Patrick. Gaelic is not
pronounced the way it looks. It's not Pad-RAY-ic; it's
pronounced more like PORR-ic if you're using the old
version of the name.

I prefer Patrick. Padraic is alright for a change, as Patrick is so popular in Australia. And it does sound basically Patrick as [t] and [d] are the same just [d] is voiced. ie: say [t] then [d].
I'd prefer pronouncing it pad-rick over pad-ray-ick.

I don't mind Padraic but I prefer just plain Patrick (which is a family name for me).
