[Facts] About family names
Hi! It's Bree again with a personal question.
Recently I realized that in my family babies are always named after some dead ancestor.I think that it's a little macabre. What do you think? My grandmother was named Maria after her dead grandmother.
My mother was named Diana after her dead aunt.
I was named Brigitta Maria after my dead aunt and my dead grandmother.
My sister was named Katerina after another dead aunt.thanks for your responses!!----------------------->Bree

I was named after both of my Grandfathers. I consider it an honour to have their namesakes!!!!!

I feel it's an honour to be named after your forefathers, and foremothers. They plowed the way through wars and depression eras to bring us into this world. Be thankful for what you have.

It's to honour that person.
My middle-name is after my great-grandmother who my father was really close to.

I don't think it's macabre; I think it's an honor and a great tradition.
