[Opinions] Alaska
Another request for another somewhat bizarre name. I think it is a beautiful word/name. Too much for a child? Or just enough for a dog? Thank you for your input, it is greatly appriciated and valued.

Hmm, well this is better than Tangerine. I tend to like state names as people names, but I don't know about Alaska. It could definitely grow on me. I'm quite partial to Montana for some reason. :)

Oh, I really like this one..
Not for a child, perfect for a pet (i.e. my aunts huskie)
This is the name of my white cat. :) nm
I think it'd make a great middle name, and *possibly* it could work as a first name. However, as with all place names, I'd prefer it to be used where the parents have some connection to the place.

I think it has a nice sound and if it wasnt a place then i think it would be great!
Would make a great mn if fn an Alaska fit 2gether
Heh...(m)
Being from Alaska myself...well, I wouldn't use it. I'd definitely consider using a place name that had significance to me, but Alaska is the kind of name somebody would use who'd never been there (how's that for stereotyping? *wink*).
If you've lived in/visited Alaska and really loved it, then I think it would be a fine mn, but it's corny as a fn.

Kinda werid...
It is a little stupid to name anything after a state. The only names I like that happen to be states are Georgia and Virgina, but still weird for people. I might name my Huskie Alaska, but nothing else.

A bit too much for a child, but perfect for a large fluffy dog.
I agree.
