I've just realized that people with the name Pia are mostly from the Philipines! And a lady who just came to know me told me that before she met me she thought I was Filipino!!!! Is this true????

Pia is the female form of Pius, from which the English word "pious" comes; a fave combo is Maria Pia, which I suppose is Holy Mary. Not Filipina therefore, just RC, or anyone who finds it pretty.
