Ingrid Linnéa - I heard that little Princess Ingrid of Norway's name is pronounced ING-ree. From what I can tell, ING-ree's the standard pronunciation in Norway, but is it the same in Sweden?

In Swedish the d in Ingrid is pronounced.

I can't give a satisfying explanation to how Hugo is pronounced, it's something like Hoo-go. Or maybe the sentence 'Here you go' said fast. Does that make any kind of sense? :)

Melker is Melchior and Edvin is Edwin.

Well, "Here you go" sounds like "Heriogo" to me when I say it fast. Lol. But I can definitely understand HOO-go; a blend of Spanish OO-go and English HYOO-go (as listed in Hugo's BtN entry), more or less?

I realise it can be hard sometimes to write out pronunciations.

Edvin was easy to figure out, but I'm a little disturbed that I'm such a namenerd that I realised Melker was probably Melchior. O_o

I like how they spell Sofia and Mathilda, just like my family! I also love the names Leona, Nelly (like sp. Nellie), Tobias, Rafael, Hugo, Fabian, Jacob, Henrik, and Maximillian.
