[Opinions] Carmen
What do you think of this name? It's one of the newest added to my list. I've always liked it to an extent but I like it enough to add it now. It's not my normal style but something about it really appeals to me.What do you think of Carmen for a girl? Thanks,JamieEdit: Missed a word.

I love it, but I don't think I could ever use it due to a recent bad association with it.

I like it. I know a high school age girl (not of Latin descent at all, surprisingly) named Carmelita nn Carmen.I also know a middle school age girl named Carmen with a younger sister named Claire. Very cute, imo.

Not really a fan of the name Carmen for a girl. I like Carman (spelled this way) for a guy though.

I love it! It's beautiful and uncommon, but easily recognizable. I also love the opera and the ballet that it inspired :-)"A guilty conscience needs to confess. A work of art is a confession."- Albert Camus

What about Carmel?I really like Carmel. I like Carmen too, but I see a Spanish femme fatale with a red rose, dancing flamenco. I guess I am too influenced by the the famous opera.

Not crazy about Carmel. But I do like Carmela. The only time I ever saw the opera was in the 5th grade when my intermediate school went to see a traveling production of it (it was lower quality to say the least). And really I hardly remember it though I'm still familiar with the basic storyline but I guess it doesn't influence my liking the name.

I really like this name, even though it doesn't really fit into my regular naming style (just like with you).
I also really like the meaning (song), I think it's very beautiful.I like it on a girl, not on a boy!~Lully Lulla~
