[Opinions] know how to pronounce this? Anyone speak Russian?

Hi! Does anyone know how to pronounce Maryte? It has a little accent over the 'e'. I read a book several years ago with a character named Maryte in it, it was a great book and I just wish I could remember the title... Anyway, does anyone know how to pronounce it? The book was set in Lithuania in the 1930's-1940's.

Hey there! That was my next guess. How do you know? I think it's pretty that way, too! Maryte, Marita... Anyway, the name I've always liked is Esther Maryte.

I have met a Maryte and this is how she pronouces it :) it is also somewhere on the web although I can't find it again ...Alice
