[Facts] Re: Meaning of First Name
in reply to a message by James
I dunno about any Arabic "Grissel", but I do know that the name is one of several Scottish forms (such as "Grizel") of the German feminine name "Griselda" which means "grey battle".
I'm sure Daividh knew this, too, being of Scottish descent as he is. But the meaning of the name must've just triggered a subconcious response in him and brought back repressed memories of his "battle" over attempting to devour a tough steak at "Western Sizzlin'".
Hope the steak wasn't grey, as well, Daividh -- but places like those usually keep the lighting dimmed so the patrons don't notice. :)
