I think "Padrick" and "Pad" are more closely related to the Irish spelling/pronounciation of
Patrick
. I have heard of Irish men called
Paddy
.

It looks like the parents wanted to spell

differently. I much prefer

, as Padrick looks/sounds like how one would lazily pronounce
