I do find it a little tacky. I dislike all feminine forms of David though - none of them are attractive to my ears. It seems like it's trying to mimic Lavinia, which is a name I find really unapproachable-sounding and this has the same feel to me, sorry.

It flows off the tongue nicely but it makes me think of the candy called Divinity.

Davinia seems a bit much, but I love Davina.
Lavinia has a cheesy feel to me (as do most names starting with a Lah sound).

It's quirky. I like Davinia. I'm not as wild about Iris.

I do think that it has that English Victorian feel. It kind of reminds me of Divinities. You know, the candy. I'm very sorry if that bursts your bubble. I think that it is a very beautiful, sophisticated name.
