Yikes!
I've met a Tana too, at least that's how I think it was spelt.... she pronounced it "tah-nah" with broad "a" sounds, as opposed to saying tan-a. Anyway it was an Australian woman of Japanese heritage, but I never asked her about her name! grrrr. stupid me I really must be more curious!
It could be Japanese because that was the heritage of this person I met, but then again her parents could have got it from somewhere else.
