I love Lyddie (lih-dee) as a nickname for Lydia, but Lydie does absolutely nothing for me. I want to pronunce it "lih-dee-ay," like "Kyrie."

I like Lydie. It reminds me of the 60s "Gemma" stories, where one of the girls is Lydia nn Lydie. I don't care for Lydia though.

Lydie is a family name (my great-grandmother was French, so...). I like it but I like Lydia a little bit better!

I might use Lydia in the future. My cousin used it, but considering what we think of each other, I don't forsee that as a problem. Lydie would be adorable as a nn. Thank you, Miss Claire.
