[Opinions] wdyt of Joceline?
Is this a legitimate, more feminine spelling of Jocelyn or has it been just made up? I think I like it- thanks.

I believe it's legitimate, however I prefer the spelling Jocelyn. If I had to choose an alternate spelling, I would choose Joscelin.

I'm sorry but I don't think that it looks as nice as Jocelyn.

It's quite legit, and I far prefer it for a girl rather than Jocelyn (which is a male name only to me). There's also Jocelina, Josceline, and Joscelina.

I don't care for it. Whether it's ligitmate or not, it just looks like you were searching for a different spelling so you're child would be "different". I don't care for the name on either gender, as it's not masculine or feminine in one way or another, I think. I do know I prefer the spelling Jocelyn.

Joscelin and Jocelin / Jocelyn are technically the masculine forms of the name. Josceline and Joceline are the feminine forms. I think Joceline is much nicer than Jocelyn for a girl.Edited to add: Joscelina and Jocelina are also feminine forms.Shannon

Joceline is the French spelling, with the French pronunciation. I prefer Jocelyn to Joseline, because I don't like the pronouciation of Joseline. Jocelyn also looks more, I don't know, but more something. I love the NN Joss.

I've more often seen Josceline which I prefer. However, there are plenty of "legit" spellings of this name. I personally prefer either Jocelyn or Joscelin. The name isn't remotely usable on boys anymore imo, so I wouldn't worry about feminising it :-)_____________________________________________________________________"There are few more distressing sights than that

I think it's the French feminine version of the name. I personally think it's not as pretty as Joscelyn or Jocelyn, but it's OK, too.

Well Joceline it's the legitimate French form of Jocelyn. With the French pronouncition. All names have been made up at some point in history, or changed as it's been adopted from other languages. Jocelyn itself was "made up" from Joscelin which entered English through the French Normans. Joscelin became Jocelyn because of misinterpretation of it as being a double diminuative of Josce (see Joyce), and being Old French diminuitive suffixes.I prefer Jocelyn over all the variations.
