I've heard that Alcuin was a person who took chrisitianity to europe i think, but I really want to know what the name actually means, please tell me if you have any ideas.

Alcuin/Alcuinus are latinized forms of the Old
German
name Alkwin which means "sanctuary, church" + "friend".
