Message: "Brynja" - Behind the Name

This is my top name of the moment. It's Icelandic, and that has a lot of meaning to me, as I love Iceland and have been there. It's pronounced like it's spellt: Brynn-ya. What do you think of it? I like the combo Brynja Meadow.

I like Brynja, I've never heard it before but I like the sund of it. I'm not a fan of Meadow though...

I love it.

I love a lot of those names, though. Seija, Katja, etc. However, with a name like Brynja, you need to give her a normal middle name to fall back on. I know this from experience, having switched from my unusal first name (Haven) to my normal middle name (Elizabeth)

I think it may cause pronunciation problems, with the j. I don't care for it - sorry.

Oh, nice! I only recently heard this name, but I'm beginning to like it a lot. Meadow's nice too, but not a favorite. However, the combo is great.

I really like it.

Brynja touch my Nordic heart. And yes, it's pronounced like that.

I'm starting to like Meadow, so all in all: A great combo.

Brynja is a beautiful name! I tend to like a lot of -ja names (Brynja, Sonja, Katja, Lilja). Meadow is nmsaa though.
