Help[Facts] You don't have to be French to spell it Nathalie

I live in Sweden and know many Nathalies. And most spell it the French way. Would should English be a better spelling than a French, when you live in Germany or in Sweden?
Here we pronounce Nathalie and Natalie the same way (as NAH-tah-LEE).
