[Opinions] Malachi/Malakai
Do you like the name? I know a lot of people do not like the name Malachi because of a scary movie that was out.

Malachi is one of my favorite names. I've never heard of that movie, but I think you should use the traditional spelling.
Malachi -love it
Hmmm almost everynight I have dreams that are at least3 times as scary as any movie I've seen so I have never been that affected by scary movies. I doubt alot of people hate the name, but I have liked the name ever since I saw Angela's Ashes. :)

I don't care for the name because I don't find it masculine. I know of no movie that used that name, and even if I did, it wouldn't dissuade me from the name. I don't let character associations bother me. I prefer the spelling Malachi, though.
Edit: Spelling.

Really I always found Malachi maybe a little too masculine, strange. O_o

I like Malachi, but it's just very Biblical and brings to mind a strict religious family. But I used to feel the same way about Caleb, and now it's rather popular and I don't see it in that light anymore at all. I definitely prefer Malachi, the correct spelling, to Malakai, which just looks wrong to my eye.

I sort of like Malachi, pronounced MAH-lah-kee. It's definitely not a favorite, and I wouldn't use it, but it's really not bad.
I absolutely love this name it is one of my favourites. I am not aware of the scary movie - what was it?
I think it was one of the Children of the Corn movies (or all of them?) but I'm not positive. :b I've never seen them, so it doesn't bring a 'scary' person to mind for me, either.
