[Opinions] Taliesin.

I met a guy by the name Taliesin long ago. He pr. it TAL-i-sen. I really liked it then, and it just hit me now, that I still do really like it. WDYT?

The link says it's prn. tal-ee-ES-in which seems a bit sci-fi-ish to me, lol. TAL-i-sen isn't bad, but I agree that it sounds a bit too much like Allison with a T. :-/ Also, your girls names are so Irish to me, and Taliesin is just so...Welsh. :b Wouldn't make a horrible sibset by any means, but it's not my favorite name, either.

I used to dislike it. It sort of reminds me of talisman, but I've decided that this isn't a bad thing. For me, it sounds a bit more like "tal-YES-en"; I don't know how I feel about TAL-i-sen. It flows nicely, but it sounds a bit too much like Alison for me. That being said, it's a name I think I like, just not for me, if that makes sense. I think it's nice with Shea and Caoimhe. No wine for me, but it is after 3:00am, so take it for what it's worth. :)

Oh crap. I never thought of the Alison thing. I'll have to let that sit for a while and see if it lingers or not.

I love it! I pronounce it the way the guy pronounced it and it is so handsome and unusual. I am not sure I would ever use it, it usually manages to slip my mind, but it has been on my list for some time.

What would you think about Shea, Caoimhe, & Taliesin? I'm really liking it...but I'm also drinking a glass of wine right now so I could use another opinion =)

hehe, well I am a bit tipsy on the Murpheys but I think they sound fabulous! They flow really well when you say them one after another and they all fit in with the whole Celtic feel. By the way, how are you spending your St Pat's Day? I just finished with our annual HUGE family dinner and I am now so full I feel as though I am going to explode and not walking in a straight line all that well! The rest of my family went to church earlier today to do the whole praying to the Saint thing. I currently have all my little cousins tearing around the lounge room like mad! Fun, fun, fun :)
