[Opinions] Allure?
I was at this website and it had Allure listed as a name, do you think Allure can be a name?

Anything can be used as a name. The question is should it be. And the answer (according to me) is "no". :-/

No. It sounds sexual which would be so inappropriate in so many contexts. Teachers addressing her, her relatives addressing her, just about every context in the workplace. No.

I think Allure would be a very provocative "name" and be hard to live up to. What if she went through an awkward stage, had acne, a weight problem, etc.?

For a vampiress, sure, why not? For a little girl though, no. Definitely not. It's like naming your child "Seductiveness," but in a more subtle way.

It has a pretty sound and could work as mn. But as a fn, I prefer Azure.

ditto -up there on the list of names that really, really do sound like porn star pseuds. Allure == sex appeal, in most contexts. Yuck.

No I don't think Allure can be a name, someone has probably used it but to me it's a magazine(sp?).
