When Natalia found out she was pregnant, she knew she was in for a long, bumpy ride. She and Morgan had not planned on getting pregnant quite yet - but they had been talking about sometime in the near future, so it wasn't too, too soon.
Natalia had noticed that she had started gaining weight... And of course, it was all over magazine covers, it seemed like every one she saw had something about her "baby bump". She didn't believe it. How could people be so rude? She had just gained a little weight!
Then she found out at four months. Of course, she was immediatley giddy with joy, as was Morgan, but definetly shocked. With only five months left to go, the preparing began immediatley. Morgan and Natalia tried to stay out of the public eye.
Luca Huckleberry Chia, 8 lbs 11 oz, arrived on April 4 at 7:45 pm. He was delivered by emergency C-section, which was a little scary, but not traumatic. Both Mama and Baby ended up totally, completely safe. Another surprise was his being male. The whole pregnancy, it was told that he was a she! Morgan was all ready for his little girl, Willow Adelina. Along came Luca, with his beautiful dark hair and blue eyes. Natalia wanted to name him Luca (so Luca it was) and Morgan suggested Huckleberry. Morgan had always been a little bit hippie-ish, and he had been suggesting middle names like Sage, Stone, River... And Huckleberry. Natalia loathed the others, but luckily thought Huckleberry was adorable.
Natalia and Morgan did quite a few interviews about Luc - But they tried to avoid pictures of him being taken for as long as possible. However, summer arrived, and being out and about with baby was a must. Luca is three months old. He giggles and is smiling in every picture the paparazzi manages to take! He has a mop of brown hair and huge dark blue eyes. He looks a lot like his Papa. Natalia and Morgan love parenthood. They are definetly exhausted, but they love him so, so much. Natalia is firm about not having a nanny until she starts filming her next movie, and even then, she wants as little caregiving done by non-relatives as possible.
Speaking of the new movie, Natalia is starring in a role she has wanted to play since she was a little girl just dreaming of acting.
She immediatley took the opportunity. It was perfect, after all! But it forced her, Morgan, and Luca to move out of California... And into New York City. They were dissappointed at first, but they are learning to love it. Walks around central park are a favorite of the whole family, especially Luca.
