Antonia Kidman (Nicole's little sister) and husband, Angus Hawley, welcomed a fourth child, a girl named Sybella. The other three kids are Lucia, Hamish and James. The cousins of course are Nicole's kids, Isabella and Connor. What are your opinions on the names?

i really dislike Hamish and Sybella. the other 2 are fine.

Ugh! Hamish and James are the same frickin' name, people!

Anyway...I like James, Antonia, Lucia, Isabella and Connor.

I like Hamish a lot, and Lucia is pretty, Sybella is probably my favorite of the set, though. But James? For one thing, it's terribly dull in comparison, and Hamish is basically a form of James so it's terribly redundant in the same sibset, imo. :-/

I kind of like Sybella, but I don't think I would use it if my sister already had a daughter named Isabella. They're just too close imo.

Especially since I've heard Nicole call her daughter Bella as a nn. What does Sybella get? Sy? Syb? Okay, maybe Syb but it sounds nicknamey whereas Bella sounds a little more complete. Eeek. Their names are just too close. Then again, there's the age gap and I guess if Sybella's parents loved the name too much, it's okay..

Having said that, I sort of like Sybella. It's nearly Sybilla / Sybylla / etc, a name my mum considered for me which I think is quite nice. But it makes Sybella a little awkward for me to say. Hmmm. Not sure about the name, now.

Hamish? It's okay, not crazy about it. Lucia is cute but prefer Lucy. James? I love James but with a brother Hamish? Nooo. But I think James is fine with the other names (apart from the Hamish thing). Connor....well, something about that name rubs me the wrong way. I just don't like it. I LOVE Angus, Isabella and Antonia :)

Sybella seems like a pathetic and horrific play on Isabella to me, compounded by the fact that her cousins name is Isabella. Otherwise, I like Lucia and James. (Hamish just reminds me of Ham) Isabella is just far too common, and so is Connor.

Oops Sybella isn't made up. It's still much too close to Isabella though.

I really like her taste in names. I love Lucia, Hamish, James, and Sybella. It's awesome. Since Isabella and Sybella are cousins and there is a tremendous age gap between them I dont think it's a problem. I also love the names Angus and Antonia.

I don't like Sybella at all, it sounds like a disease, like rubella or something. Sybil would have been better, though it does remind me of the multiple-personality lady. Lucia is very pretty, and I love James very much. But why did she have a James and a Hamish?! That's just dumb, like having a Mary and and a Maria, or a Juan and a John.

I kind of like Sybella. It used to be a favorite name of me a couple of years ago.
I don't like Lucia and Hamish. James is pretty cool, but it is a pretty common name for in this sibset.
Isabella is okay and I really like Connor.

I prefer Sybelle or Sibelle but its a nice name all the same.

Sybella is too.. weird.
Lucia is absolutely gorgeous.
Hamish is also nice, but not my favorite.
James is too common.
Isabella is nice.
Connor is cute as well.

I don't think Sybella is too weird. Especially with the popularity of Isabella, in fact I think I prefer Sybella.

Its nice enough. The thing that pisses me off with that sibset (and I see it a lot here) is that there are sibs called Hamish and James. They are the same name! It is a pet peeve of mine, I know 3 sib sets with brothers called Hamish and James and there is a Hamish James in the BAs here once a week without fail. Don't people research names first?!

I feel your pain...

...I had a friend in high school named Margaret, and her older sister was Megan. I also knew a Megan Margaret and a Mary Margaret Molly. It's like naming your kids Kate and Katherine or Susie Susannah.

That being said, Sybella is pretty cool.

I didn't even think about Isabella and Sybella sounding so similar. That probably wasn't a great idea on their part, either. :-/

But wanted to add that i think Arabella, James, Lucia and Hamish wouldve have been a much nicer sibset.
