I think I prefer Jamila.

But Yamila itself doesn't seem bad to me. One could consider it a variation of Jamila, if one stood on one foot, tilted one's head to the side, and squinted real hard. ;)

Sorry, but I think it sounds rather ugly and made-up. I adore Camila (cah-MEE-lah), Camilla (cah-MILL-ah), and Camille (cah-MEEL), though.

funny how I prefer Camille said the French way: Cah-mee
Yamila is sort of pretty though :)
