Jude and I were only trying for one more baby, so imagine our surprise when the doctor informed us we were expecting four! Emma, Madison, Riley, and Zoe arrived a bit early (two months premature, to be exact), but they're all home now and as healthy as can be.
Amazingly, all four girls are identical, with their dad's light brown hair and my blue eyes. It's certainly not the same story with their personalities, however. Emma is the laid-back one of the group and doesn't cry a lot, thank goodness. Madison is the active one; she doesn't like staying in one place for a long period of time and is always moving around. Riley will be a mischief-maker when she grows up. She's always smiling like she's up to something. Zoe is our little drama queen; if she wants something, her lungs won't hesitate to let you know it.
Alec was a little disappointed when he found out the babies were all girls, since he has been longing for a little brother, but he's since come around to the them and loves them very much. He's very protective of his sisters, and whenever someone comes by to visit, he's always right there next to the babies.
Jude and I have always wanted a big family, and will definitely have more kids in the future, but with five kids aged four and under, life at home is a bit hectic at the moment. We plan to wait at least three years before trying again.
