[Opinions] Marianina. WDYT?
I was reading this short story by Honoré de Balzac a while ago and came across the name Marianina, which is now growing on me. WDYT? I kind of like it, which is weird because I'm not that fond of the name Mariana because I find it overelaborated. I think Marianina is very pretty in the über-feminine, delicate, frilly & flowery-sort of way.

It is a pretty sound, but all those a's and i's! It took a minute for me to pronounce it, but that just be because of my un-fed brain. ;)

That's how I felt like the first time I saw it. I went like "Marinani - what?" the first couple of times I tried to pronounce the name in my mind, but then I got over it and began to like the name.

I am not fond of it. I like Mariana, but Marianina sounds like Mary and Nina or something too combined. It is certianly feminine and frilly which is nice, but I guess it just goes on too long for me.

It's really pretty, but I'd find it difficult to wear as a first name. As a middle name, I think it'd be excellent--imagine an Ivy Marianina or Ruth Marianina. Array (also really likes Mariana, though :D)
