Help[Opinions] Rhyan
There is a boy in one of my classes named Rhyan. It is pronounced the same as Ryan; I can't fathom why an h was put in it. To me, it makes the name look more feminine. What do you all think?

Rhyan may be (though probably not) an attempt to link it back to its welsh origins, Rhy/Rhi- king, + an = little.

Whether spelt Rhyan or Ryan, whether for a boy or girl, I don't like the name. It's not name I've ever really liked.

Except that Sarah is a legitimate spelling and Rhyan is just Ryan with an 'h' :-/

Rhyan kind of makes me want to pronounce it differently. Like whine as opposed to wine - a subtle difference, but one that makes it seem weaker and more effeminate (sp) to me.

I actually thought you were talking about making Ryan a girls name by adding an H! I'm glad it was a boy. The added H is silly.
