Message: "Liliana?" - Behind the Name

I have to apologise for always asking opinions on the same names. I just can't seem to really love anything else. I'm embarrassed to keep asking, but I really love hearing your opinions and my Dh is not interested in discussing names.

My top three names for girls at the moment (not including Sofia) are Liliana (Lily-ahna), Lydia and Anna. Dh thinks Anna is boring, so that's out. Lydia doesn't feel like the one for me at the moment and Dh thinks Liliana is to fussy, I personally really like Liliana because I get to use Ana as a nn also.

How do you feel about Liliana? Also, What about Sofia and Liliana as twins? Just in case it happens.

It's nice enough, but I honestly prefer Lillian. It's a little simpler and classier to me, less "fussy." Sofia and Liliana would make sweet twin names, though.
That said, I think Anna is gorgeous, and would be perfect with Sofia. Alas. :( Lydia is lovely also, and I really like nn Lyddie.
Another -ana name that I think I've mentioned on one of your other polls, but that I really like to go with Sofia is Ariana or Arianna.

Only in this case it's spelt Lilyanna, I don't really like it. I also see it as fussy. Lilia is prettier to me, but I prefer the simplicity of Lily. :-D

Sofia and Liliana work well together and with Isabel too.

I think Liliana is so pretty and it would fit in great with your other kid's names. Sofia is also really nice though. I also like Lydia, but think that Liliana or Sofia would fit in better. Sofia and Liliana would be great for twins.

I think that Anna is rather lovely, actually. It's such a simple, classic name that I don't see how anyone can go wrong by using it/liking it.

As far as Liliana, I think I agree with your DH about it being a little "fussy." In my head I have the image of a very intolerable, spoiled girl. I think the -iana ending makes me feel that it is too frilly. I mcuh prefer Lilia. But then, you wouldn't be able to use Ana as a nn.

I think that Sofia and Liliana would be fine as twins, but I think that Sofia and Anna go better togehter.

I think Anna is very pretty.
I know a girl named Liliana. The name reminds me of a really quiet and sweet girl. This name is very beautiful, and it goes well Sofia.

I love Liliana (and the spelling Lilyana). I think it's really cute with Sofia; it works nicely.

I love the name Lily, and I think Liliana is lovely, bu tit isn
t for everyone, like you said. I like i tmuch better than Anna... which is kind of getting boring. Lydia, is alright, but I guess it depends on your first's and son's names.

Personally I like Sofia and Lydia better as a combo.

I love Liliana (spelt Lilliana) and I think Liliana and Sofia (spelt Sophia) make great names for twins.

Ha, I just suggested Liliana as a twin for Sofia on your other post. I love the name--it's gorgeous. Sofia and Liliana make fantastic twins, and Liliana has such great nicknames.

You're not nearly getting annoying--you don't really post that much!
