[Opinions] Drusilla?
Some people like Agnes. Some like Mabel. I like Drusilla.
I know a lot of people hate it, but I like it a lot. I has character. Plus, this has nothing to do with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I know there was a character named Drusilla, but I liked this name way before I ever saw that show (and I've only seen it a few times.) So wdyt? I like the combos Drusilla Beatrix, Drusilla Heloise and Drusilla Josette.

Drusilla is also one of the ugly step-sisters in "Snow White" by Disney. "Dru" is also nn for "Andrew." Too busy to watch B:VS or any TV, for that matter...My little sister's name is Priscilla. When we were growing up, kids would think her name was " Drusilla" and teased her. They also called her Phyllis, Patricia, Phoebe, Princella (yams), but "Drusilla" really hurt her. Because of all this, I made it a point when I had kids, to name them something that couldn't be twisted or Kre8 a lot of negative teasing.HIH

I think you mean...Cinderella. Drusilla was a step sister in Cinderella, not Snow White. Forgot about that though! But then again, the other was Anastasia, so they had pretty cool names :) not good namesakes though.

I really like Drusilla. If Drusilla is "too much", then Dru makes for a fine nn. As for mn's, I'd go with something fairly "normal", since Drusilla is a bit strange. Of your combos, I think I like Drusilla Josette the best.

I too have loved the name Drusilla for years. The nn Dru is so cute. (But I also love Mabel and Agnes, so what do I know?)From your list, the only mn that strikes me as strong enough for Drusilla is Heloise. Beatrix is cute, but Beatrice strikes me as more in tune with Drusilla's energy. Josette seems too light. How about:Drusilla Justine
Drusilla Regine ("ray-ZHEEN")
Drusilla Frances
Drusilla Phoebe
Drusilla Irene
Drusilla Theodora
Drusilla Isidora
Drusilla Eugenia / Eugenie ("yoo-ZHEN-ee")
Drusilla Io ("EE-o")
Drusilla Inez
Drusilla Pauline
Drusilla Simone
Drusilla Judith
Drusilla Ursula (3 u's in one name. Top that.)
Drusilla Pearl
Drusilla Margaret / Margot
Drusilla Constance
Drusilla Horatia
Drusilla Cornelia
Drusilla Honorine
Drusilla Leontine
Drusilla WinifredYou like?

It's ok, it's just that it reminds me of a vampire devil. It also reminds me Dracula. Thanks

but thats why we love it...to be really honest, I'd rather be named Drusilla than something really common.
I think Drusilla is rather graceful, and when placed on the right person can be really stunning. I'd never use it - but I think it would make my day if I met a Drusilla.
I know this sounds really random, but it reminds me of ballroom dances and has a sort of, Tim Burton dark quality around it.
I don't watch Buffy, so I don't have that association. I can't think of any combos at the moment, but I'll try and think of some!

I totally agree about Tim Burton lol.

I've liked Drusilla for ages, especially nn Drusa. None of your combos particularly grab me, but they're perfectly fine.Array

Really? Wow. Drusa or Drusilla was on my list of "might use" names for my daughter (never got up the courage to run it past the guy though). I've hardly ever heard anyone mention Drusa. To Brendan:I don't watch Buffy, but it's a hip show, so who cares about the stupid character? I think the name has a "gothy" image, though, even prior to the character - kind of sinister in a theatrical way, or vampy. Which I don't understand since it's a classical name. It could come from the association of Drusilla with Caligula, but it seems unlikely that that'd be commonly known enough... I guess it probably just comes from the sound of the name.Beatrix & Heloise are not my style at all, and I don't think they go with the character of Drusilla. D. Josette is interesting, though.

I like Drusilla, too. It definately has character! I like Drusilla Beatrix best of the three.
As a Buffy fan though, the character from the show is what immediately leaps to mind. I think most people find the name heavy or clunky sounding, and those that watched Buffy associate it with a dark image, so pretty as it is, it probably won't be warmly recieved by most people. Unfortunate.

I once knew a girl named Drucilla, so that's who comes to mind-tall, blonde fuzzy hair, long nose with a bump on it. A nice person-far away from darkness and evil.

Man, I've never seen Buffy but that name still sounds evil and heavy and dark to me. The combos are all basically fine, though Drusilla Heloise is a bit of a tongue twister.
