[Opinions] Percival?
WDYT of Percival? It's a name I love but I'm not sure how useable it actually is.What would you say or think if someone introduced you to their son Percival?I would probably end up calling him Percy as a kid, just because I think it's a cute nickname.
Other's boys names currently on my list that I might actually use are: Asher, Bodhi, Corbin, Desmond, Dominic, Hugh, Nico & Stellan.
Girls names are: Ileana, Lily, Mira, Mirabelle, Vivienne & Willow.Of course there are a lot more names on my list, but they slowly get crossed off the "might use" list for one reason or another.

I think it works, especially with the comeback of "older" names.I also like Percy as a nickname, and I think it would work as he got older too. Percival goes well with the other names on your list. If you're still hesitant about it as a first name, perhaps it could stay as a middle name?

I like Percival well enough, especially nn Percy. If someone introduced their son to me as Percival or Percy, I would be delighted for a long time. I like Percival, Dominic, Hugh, Nico as a nickname for something awesome, and kind of Desmond and Corbin, and probably my favorite is Hugh or Percival. My favorite of your girls list are Vivienne and Willow. Like Vivienne more.

I hate the name Percival. I do like the NN Percy though.

Hm, personally I quite like the name Percival and the nn Percy. (Though if he's called that as a kid, it might just stay Percy the rest of his life because that'll be what people are used to calling him.)As to your other names...of the boys I like Dominic and Hugh, and of the girls I like Ileana, Mira, and Lily.

Percival sounds snobbish IMO. I think Percy is a VERY bad nn. It sounds to much like parcley. Eww! It is kind of a geeky name. If you like it alot though, use it as a mn. Your kid will thank you later!

WDYT of Percival? reminds me of HP, and the character isn't one of the best IMO.What would you say or think if someone introduced you to their son Percival? I think it would be different, kind of refreshing.I would probably end up calling him Percy as a kid, just because I think it's a cute nickname. Very cute nn!
