[Opinions] Mae vs. Rae
Which do you like better? I'm leaning towards Rae. What do you think of it? I started thinking of it because my mom's cousin named her baby girl Leila Rae, which I think is a gorgeous combo.

Rae definetly. Mae (spelled this way, as a first name) looks hillbillish to me for some reason. As a middle name Mae or May is cute. I really like Rae, Leila Rae is very cute

I really like both and I think Leila Rae is great too. I would pick Mae over Rae though, just because I prefer the sound of Mae a bit more.

I like Ray and May better for both. The "e" makes me mad, I don't really know why. I prefer Rae as a short version of Rachel, and May over Rae on its own. I dislike both as middle names because they aren't interesting at all to me.

Mae is adorable. I just don't care for Rae. Mae is retro and sweet. Rae seems like it belongs to the South.

Mae is much prettier than Rae, which has hillbilly connotations in my mind. Besides, Mae lends itself to adorable retro nicknames like Mamie and Maisie. :)

I don't know Rae is something I see a lot as I live in a Southern area, and Mae is my grandmothers middle name. I wou;d say my views are very situational.

Both are better as middle names. Generally, I like Rae as a nn for Rachel, but at times, I like it by itself for a mn. I like spellings Rae and Mae only. Rae sounds more fun and pretty to me, whereas Mae is more sweet and classic.

I like Mae better. It sounds old-fashioned and simply honey-sweet to my ears. :)

I think Mae.

I love both, but I prefer Rae, being as it's my middle name. One of my children will absolutely for sure have either Rae or Ray as a middle name, depending on the child's sex.Array

I definitely prefer Mae over Rae, though I'd prefer the spelling May. Overall, I think they work better as middle names.
