Message: "Cathedral" - Behind the Name

I was wondering what everyone thought of the name Cathedral for a girl. I LOVE this name! I am really into word names and I think this one sounds old fashioned and cute!

I would probably her full name be: Cathedral Ann
and call her "Cat" or "Catie"

What do you think? And can you think of any other cute nicknames or combos for this?

I would prefer it as a mn, but it's quite pretty, actually. Ann looks terribly dull next to it, however, and while I love Anne, in the middle name spot it looks unthought-out, unless it has special significance. Cat and Catie are cute nn's. Ummm... Allie, Cate, Thedra, Thedie, Cathy (though I hate it)?

Ann was my grandma's middle name, but it could be changed if it looks terrible. I never thought of Allie as a nickname, very cute!

It's OK. nns could be Cathy, Thea, Tea, Callie, Hedra, Teddy, Carla.

I'd use most words as a mn, personally. At the least, one word and one traditional name, so the child's not stuck with 2 non-names.

Cathedral Ann is nice.

I dont' care for it, but I've never really been a big fan of word names anyway.
How about Theda? Edie? Those are probably a stretch.
