-Clarice Elvire and Esme Manon are 13 year old identical twins from France. Their parents were on their way to a restaurant for their 17th marriage anniversary when a drunk driver hit them, killing them both. Over the past 3 years, many families have avoided adopting the twins because of the emotional problems they have. Clarice is very artistic and enjoys nature. She loves photography, her favorite subjects being nature and people. She is quiet and polite and just wants a loving home. Esme is more outgoing and rambunctious. She loves to write poems, play volleyball, and run. She can run a mile in 7 minutes, and often runs a couple miles everyday. Neither will need a psychiatrist as long as a family member is willing to talk to them. Clarice and Esme have been selective mutes since the death of their parents.
-Carmen Emilia is an 11 year old girl from Spain. She likes to skateboard, animals, swim, and play soccer. She either wants to be a professional soccer player, or work with animals. Her parents already had 9 other children and could not feed another one. She was brought to our agency when she was 2.
-Akamu Kale is an 8 year old boy frmo Hawaii. He loves to surf, swim, ski, and anything else dealing with water. He lived with his grandfather, who was a farmer, until his recent death, and learned many things from him. He is allergic to strawberries.
-Andrei Vasil and Viktor Yulian are siblings from Bulgaria. Andrei, aged 7, loves to play golf, draw, and loves school. Viktor, aged 5, loves building model cars, fishing, and music. Andrei is outgoing and spunky. Viktor is quiet and observant. Their parents were ruthless and abandoned them because they wanted a girl.
-Juliska Sukie, Magdalena Danuta, Kasia Liliana, and Catrin Rinisa are female siblings from Poland. They all have severe emotional problems due to their life before they came to the agency. Juliska and Magdalena are 16 year old twins, Kasia is 14, and Catrin is 12. Six years ago their mother committed suicide. Their father started abusing them, both physically and sexually. All three will need someone to talk to. They are inseperable. Juliska refuses to talk about her mother, father, and the abuse. She thinks if she doesn't talk about it, her past will disappear. She likes to read, run, fish, and listen to music. She has severe trust issues. Magdalena is more open about the abuse, and she will talk to whomever she trusts. She likes music, animals, dancing, and photography. Kasia, much like Juliska, doesn't like talking about the abuse. You will often find her crying and she easily snaps at people. She loves basketball, soccer, cooking, and painting. Catrin often talks about the abuse to her sisters. She loves animals, hiking, running, and writing.
All children speak at least a little Spanish or English. They all would love to travel. Please keep us updated on all the children.

Clarice and Esme are doing well since they found a therapist they both like. The therapist sees them both at the same time, and has helped them be more optimistic. Clarice is also taking an art class after school, and she is excited to be part of painting a mural downtown. Esme joined track, and is going to run in a marathon to raise money for the local children's hospital.
Carmen is also running in the marathon with Esme. She has taken over the care of the goats and chickens, and has named them all too. I don't think we'll be having fresh chicken on the table anymore.
Akamu is a great help in the garden. On the weekends, he usually goes to the lake to go swimming and waterskiing with his friends.
Andrei is always running around in the local woods, and generally takes his sketchbook with him. He looks up to Clarice, who gives him pointers on drawing. Viktor is usually to be found at the pond, fishing for trout. He loved it last year when he got to fish for large salmon in the ocean.
Juliska, Magdalena, Kasia, and Catrin have been working intensively with a therapist. The therapist does not make them talk about their past if they don't want to. Instead, she focuses on the reactions they had to past events. Juliska "Julie" has visibly softened, and has formed a friendship with Esme, though she will sometimes spend long periods of time alone at the pond. Magdalena "Maggie" has started acting like a mentor to Viktor, who reminds her of herself as a child. Kasia plays on the same soccer team as Carmen. Catrin and Maggie are now avowed vegetarians.
We have plans for travelling across country in a year or so. Catrin has already made a list of things she wants to see!
