I was rooting strongly for Gideon Marcus. They're two of my favorite names. I would say mar-KELL, and it works all right as a replacement for Marcus, but Marcus is just fabulous.
Maybe he'll come around to Marcus eventually though :)

Here's hoping.
Besides, our standing deal is that if one parent picks the fn (in this case, he picked Gideon), the other parent picks the mn. ;o) Plus, after each of our other children were born, DH pretty much said, "It's your choice." Something about seeing me in labor, I think... ;o)
